{memorial day fun}

How was everyone's Memorial Day? Mine was a total trainwreck of a workday, followed by an all-too-short night of sleep. But I can't complain too much, because Monday was a day given to us by the selfless veterans of our country. Their sacrifices allow us the freedom to live, play, and work overtime on holidays. ;)

My "Memorial Day weekend" actually starts tomorrow, so I'm taking a small hiatus from blogging this weekend to soak in some outdoors. Hooray! Plus, I need some time to work on my shop. With Father's Day just around the corner (June 17, by the way) I've been getting daily sales and a few custom orders, so lately my evenings have been full with drawing, printing, packaging, and mailing out cards! It's almost like I have two full time jobs, now... ;)

Speaking of Memorial Day, I'm getting pretty jealous of these photos I see from fellow friends and bloggers of sunny skies, pool parties, daiquiris and beach outings. Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, right? I think Oregon missed the message, because we won't get summer until the 4th of July. (Literally.) Currently it's 60 degrees and raining, so I have to fill my head with photos of summer until the long spring here passes.
