{etsy finds: birthday gifts}

I readily admit that it is nine days past my birthday. But I'm of the mind that it's my birthday month, and dangit, I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

On Wednesday March 14 we had pie at work (get it? 3.14 is Pi day. That definitely calls for actual pie to be shared at work.) I was hoping for some sort of cake on my actual birthday, and since my friend/co-worker Jason's birthday is four days after mine, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to celebrate. Somehow, though, it jumped from last week to this one without cake, so we settled for a cherry danish from Panera and a giant Cosco pie on Pi day.

Since I moved to Oregon last year (oh my goodness... has it been a year already?!) this is the first year I won't be celebrating birthday-ness with my family until I visit home this summer. So my sister asked for a wishlist for when I get there... but I never know what to ask for. I always feel like I have everything I want, or I want a $1,200 camera lens. It's a toss up.

Once again my favorite inspiration is Etsy. Pay attention Courtney... if any of the following items happen to be nicely wrapped and presented as a late birthday gift... I won't be mad about it. Just sayin.

Speaking of Pi day, check out that ring above. It's the mathematical numeral Pi in a ring form, and it's gorgeous! And the gemstone is my birthstone. Winning!

*P.S: if you don't understand what the brown "keep flying" t-shirt is in reference to, then obviously you have never seen Firefly, and that is a tragedy. Log off your computer right now and rent it on Netflix. Or watch it on Hulu. It's only one season long and it will change your life. Seriously. :)
