{end of week moving summary}

Remember my moving checklist? Since my last day of work on February 26, I've been plugging away at it day by day. Most of the truly difficult stuff has been accomplished, but there's always those last minute, "oh, shit!" things that pop up when you least expect them, as you can see below...
So far we've checked off (and have yet to do!):

• Secured moving truck arrangements/ dates (still in progress: faxing in signatures, final furniture lists, and payment deposits.)
• Secured an apartment (still in progress: deposits and fees, utility set-up, address verification.)
• Serviced car for the long haul (still in progress: fix the sealant that is peeling off the roof.)
• Packed apartment (still in progress: packing things needed in the car and on the plane, and when we first arrive, and stuff we are still using. Pick up more supplies: tape, boxes, etc.)
• Posted craigslist advertisement for subletter (still in progress: following up with the people who have come by.... so far no takers.)
• Transferred medical records (still in progress: dentist appt on Tues, pick up meds.)

And, of course, I still have to cancel my utilities, move my stuff to Tanner's for loading on the truck on the 9th, and get my address changed with the post office and credit card companies once I have a true address for my new apartment. Whew! Who thought that moving was such a pain?

It's certainly been a busy week. Can anyone believe that it's my birthday tomorrow? With all the craziness going on, I've forgotten that I'm getting older in all this mess!
